Hastings is a beautiful community nestled in the area where three rivers, the Mississippi, St. Croix, and Vermilion, converge. Walking and bicycling trails along the river are very popular and scenic. The historical downtown area, established in 1840, features many unique shops, restaurants and antique stores. Other area activities include boating, fishing, golfing and downhill skiing at nearby Afton Alps and Welch Village. Nature trails that are famous for bird watching are also nearby.
