GrandStay® Hospitality, LLC is the franchisor for GrandStay Hotels and is the legal owner of the GrandStay brand. GrandStay® Hospitality, LLC will be referred to in this document as “GHS”, “the company” or “the brand”.

What information does the brand collect?

GSH may collect information from you when you register on our site, make a reservation, subscribe to our newsletter, join our loyalty club or fill out a form.

When making a reservation, joining our loyalty club or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit or debit card information.

What does the brand use your information for?

Any of the information that GSH collects from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  1. To process transactions

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company outside the brand’s network for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product, reservation, service requested or to provide any special needs or lodging preferences with the brand’s network partners. GSH network partners are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and data security. 

  1. To send periodic emails

The email address you provide for reservation processing, will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your reservation.

  • If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include deals, company news, updates, related product or service information.

  • Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe (opt-out) from receiving future emails, a link is provided on each email that allows you to unsubscribe from the email list.

How does the brand protect your information?

GSH implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you make a reservation or access your personal information.

The information processes through a secure server. All sensitive information/credit information is transmitted via a secure encryption protocol that meets the current PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for safeguarding payment data. When a payment is made on your credit or debit card, your information is encrypted into a payment gateway provider’s database and will only be accessed by those authorized with special access rights to such systems to process the transaction. The payment gateway processor is contractually required to keep the information secure and confidential.

Your private information and credit information will be secured and retained for a reasonable period to complete the sale and services you have purchased and consumed. Information may be kept longer to meet tax, regulatory, accounting and law enforcement needs or for other legitimate legal purposes.

Does the brand use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart and understand and save your preferences for future visits.

If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our reservation services may not function properly. If you choose to turn off cookies and find that our reservation services are not functioning properly, you may call our toll-free number (855.455.7829) to make your reservation at the brand’s reservation call center.

Does the company use Google Analytics?

Yes. We use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors to our website are using the website. This information is transmitted to and from Google. You may opt out of this process by contacting Google Analytics at:  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .

Does the brand disclose any information to outside parties?

GSH will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or the rights of others, their property, or safety.

Does the brand use third party links?

Occasionally, at the brand’s discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. You should review the privacy policies of these or any site you are asked to provide personal information to. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Does the brand follow the EU Data Protection Rights?

Yes. The EU data protection laws provide for certain rights regarding your personal information. To exercise any of your rights under EU laws please contact info@grandstayhospitality.com and describe the action you are requesting.

The following are typical requests under the EU laws.

  • Verify if the brand has or is using your personal information and request a copy of that information.
  • Correct information or delete information. Verification and accuracy is required.
  • Delete your information or withdraw your consent if you believe we should not retain your information or you feel we no longer need to use it for the purpose we collected it from you.

Request for changes in your information will require proving your identity. This verification is essential to the communication to ensure that your privacy is not compromised.  

All legitimate and verified requests received will be processed within thirty (30) days. If the request will be longer than thirty (30) days, you will be notified.

Does the brand follow the California Online Privacy Protection Act?

Because the company values your privacy, we have taken the necessary precautions to follow the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Does the brand follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act?

Yes. The company follows the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18 years of age. Our website, products, services and social media are all directed to people who are at least 18 years old or older. If a minor/child’s information has been improperly provided, the company will take all reasonable and legal steps to delete that information.

Does this Privacy Policy only apply to online activity?

Yes. This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through the brand website and through the reservation process with our trusted third-party vendors; not to information collected offline or at hotels that are independently owned and operated under a franchise license with GSH. Each hotel is obligated to protect private information and credit information in accordance with all applicable laws.

If the company decides to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. This policy was last modified in June 2018.
